Yin & Yang Yoga
One of my absolute favorite classes to teach.
In the first half of the class, we engage in a series of fast paced dynamic flow of movements to help you build heat, strength, stability and flexibility. Designed to progressively open the body, each sequence builds upon the previous, evolving into deeper, more advanced postures as the practice unfolds. Each movement is coordinated with breath for a more mindful body awareness practice. In the second half, we end with longer-held yin poses to release any remanent tension in the body, stretching deep connective tissues and allowing the body to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system for a complete deeply healing and nourishing experience. Yin yoga improves energy flow and enhances the flow of chi in the organs but the practice also offers huge mental and emotional benefits as well.
